Palma.—The Balearic Government said yesterday it is going to cover the cost of completing the Palma Convention Centre and hotel by using its own funds.
On Thursday, an agreement was finally reached between the local authorities and construction company Acciona to resume work on the complex this Monday.
The government is now hopeful that construction of the convention centre and hotel will be completed within the space of a year and the Mayor of Palma, Mateo Isern, claimed that it will put Palma on the global map as a leading convention destination.
