Palma.—The Government Delate to the Balearics, Teresa Palmer and the head of the Guardia Civil, Colonel Jaime Barcelo, will today unveil joint police patrols on the island involving Spanish, German and French police officers.
“The idea is not only to increase co-operation with officers from other European countries but also help visiting tourists as well,” said a Guardia Civil spokesperson yesterday-
Initially the Guardia Civil had appealed to British police to take part in this new plan although the idea was later rejected.
