The Spanish royal household announced yesterday that King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia and their two daughters, the Princess of Asturias and the Infanta Sofia, will be leaving Majorca at the end of their summer holiday at Marivent Palace over the next few days to return to Zarzuela Palace in Madrid.
The King and Queen, who have been accompanied by the Queen Mother Sofia, have spent ten days on the island and had little time to relax.
They held a special reception for some 300 local dignitaries and leading members of society, held two photocalls, the first at Marivent Palace and the second at the Raixa estate while the King did manage to find time to sail in the Copa del Rey Regatta while also setting aside time for a meeting with the Prime Minister.
