Palma.—All good things come to an end, and according to a survey by the Hospital Quiron group, 65 percent of the country suffer from post holiday blues.
In most cases, many people have had between two and four weeks off work during August and having to return to work can lead to sadness, nerves, anxiety, depression, strong feelings of nostalgia  the loss of appetite and even muscle pains, amongst other syndromes.
According to the experts, the longer a trip lasts, the more intense the post vacation blues may be.  This is because the person would be longing for their travel experiences more.
In general, post vacation blues wear off after time. It usually takes a few days for the mood to wear off.
Other ways of treating post vacation blues are for the person to share their experiences with family and friends, or to look at photos and souvenirs.
Experts also advise against taking work home, try to adopt a positive attitude to work and  take up some form of light physical activity.
