Palma/Madrid.—Spain’s consumer prices declined as initially estimated in August from last year, final data from the statistical office INE showed yesterday.
Consumer prices fell 0.5 percent year-on-year, after decreasing 0.3 percent in July. This was the second consecutive decrease in prices and matched flash estimate.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.2 percent in August versus 0.9 percent fall in July.
