Palma.—Palma Local Police have opened an investigation into the death of a carriage horse yesterday morning.
The tragic accident happened  when the horse apparently slipped and slid over the edge of the Cami Fondo water way.

Fire fighters
Just after 8am, the 112 emergency centre began receiving a number of calls reporting the accident and the Local Police plus fire fighters and council vets  were on the scene within minutes.
When they reached the scene, they found the horse hanging by its harness some four to five metres off the ground.
The emergency services did everything they could as quickly as possible to save the horse, but there was nothing that could have been done to have saved the animal’s life.
