Road leading to Formentor’s lighthouse to be resurfaced

The Council of Majorca confirmed yesterday that road works to improve the road leading to Formentor’s lighthouse will begin tomorrow.
Traffic will be closed from Monday to Saturday between 8am and 8pm between kilometre 8,650 (after the  Hotel Formentor) and kilometre 19,290. Road works are expected to last for a month.
The council decided to go ahead with the project before the winter season, when the weather could potentially delay the resurfacing of the road.
A source from the council said this move was necessary due to the “evident deterioration of the tarmac”.
