Palma.—The Council of Majorca announced yesterday that as a result of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Fevelopment, the budget for road works next year will be increased.
Mauricio Rovira, councillor for the local urban department explained that the 25.1 million euros increase - 31.2 percent more than this year- will be used to increase the length of the highway between Llucmajor and Campos.
The construction of Inca’s ring road is also part of the plans.
From the 25.1 million euros, 23 will go straight into the construction works, while the remaining 2.1 million will be used to finance the relevant expropriation processes, as requested by budget laws.
The Council of Majorca showed their satisfaction with the increase of six million euros to the budget for next year.
