Having digested the latest unemployment figures, the Majorcan Association of Industrial Companies and the Balearic Confederation of Business Associations yesterday urged the Balearic government to ease the fiscal pressure on the business sector and provide fresh incentives to potential new businesses in order to inject some extra life into the sector and also help create new jobs.
The President of the Association of Industrial Companies, Miguel Bordoy, said that more has to be done to encourage young people to have a dream and to help them realise that dream, if it setting up a new business.
“We need to keep up with the changing market place, so we need new innovative businesses and that, more often than not, involves, young people, but the process of setting up a new business venture is so complicated. It needs to be made easier,” Bordoy said.
