Almost 4,900 new jobs will be created when the new Palma Springs shopping centre opens in Playa de Palma in the autumn of 2016.

Palma.—The project, which was yesterday presented at a press conference by Unibail-Rodamco España, the company responsible for the development of the project, and to which the president of the Balearic government Jose Ramon Bauza and the Mayor of Palma Mateo Isern  attended, represents an investment of 225 million euros.
The 70,000 square metre shopping complex,  will boast 12 cinema screens, an Alcampo supermarket and eight clothing stores including Zara, Massimo Dutti,  Bershka,  Pull & Bear, Mango and Violeta among others, and will create  2,300 new direct jobs.
The complex is also set to generate at least a further 2,600 indirect jobs , providing the struggling  Balearic employment  market with an important boost.
