Palma.—Today is the deadline for the PP in Calvia to decide which one of its two candidates for mayor at the May elections is going to be the chosen one.
Two members of the PP, Jose Manuel Ruiz and Idoia Ribas, have put themselves forward, but today, the local branch of the party is going to have to decide which one is going to be put forward as their candidate to secure that the PP is reelected at the local elections. Ribas and Ruiz were called to a meeting with the out going mayor, Manuel Onieva, last Friday, and it was agreed that today, would be the deadline.
However, unless one of the two candidates decides to throw in the towel, then the decision will be put to the members of the local branch and primaries will have to be called in order for the member to vote for their favourite candidate.
