The ESRA (North) Thursday Club in Puerto Pollensa continues to attract “customers” with nice cakes, great tea and coffee and the opportunity to read the English newspapers, but there are others for whom the Thursday Club is a serious occupation. Spanish is now being taught at different levels, greetings cards are being re-cycled, the artists produce real works of art and some people even come along to sort-out problems with computers. Recently Sylvia Warr produced a really attractive cover for the ESRA North laptop computer, and this week her talents were put to even better and more practical use when John Blott, a Thursday Club member and resident in the Residencia in the Port of Pollensa was presented with a quilt for the winter evenings.? Once again ESRA North proves that you can have fun and help others at the same time.
