Palma.— Christopher Columbus, famous explorer, navigator, and coloniser who lived in the 15th century was “originally from Majorca and not Italy” Majorcan investigator Gabriel Verd claimed this week.
Verd said that there are several theories as to the origins of the man who discovered America but that the one claiming he was originally from Felanitx “is the most coherent”.
