Palma.—The Director General of the Palma 365 Foundation, Pedro Homar, yesterday presented the new Palma Marathon at the IB Tourism Trade Fair in Berlin.The marathon, which replaces the TUI Marathon, is part of a new programme called Passion for Running which has been devised to transform Palma in to a sporting capital.
“We want Palma to become a unique and perfect destination for runners from all over the world,” Homar, accompanied by the director of the marathon, David Thomson said.
The City Trophy Marathon is going to be held on 18 October and an estimated 10,000 runners are expected to compete.
