Ryanair has sent emails to passengers using its Glasgow to Ibiza route telling them that alcohol is to be banned and that anyone who does not comply with this will not be allowed to board or will be removed from the flight. Alcohol bought at airport shops cannot, therefore, be taken on board.
Safety a priority
Ryanair has suffered problems on this route with drunken passengers, as was shown in a video from September last year. In 2013, fourteen passengers were thrown off for being drunk and causing problems. The airline emphasises that the measure is to protect customer and crew safety.
