More travel discounts for residents

The Majorcan Chamber of Commerce yesterday expressed its backing to a proposal put forward by a resident of Palma, Ivan Sbert Muniz, that Balearic residents should be entitled to travel discounts on mainland rail services. At the moment, residents get 50 percent off air and sea travel between the islands and the mainland but Muniz argues that once on the mainland, those having to cover large distances, should continue to receive the discount.
