Palma judge Jose Luis Castro dismissed an appeal from lawyers representing the Infanta Cristina, sister of King Felipe of Spain, to reduce her civil liability bond from 2.7 million euros to just 445,000. The Infanta is fighting two counts of tax fraud and could go on trial later this year. Judge Castro said that the 2.7 million euros was in line with Spanish law. The Infanta Cristina is fighting fraud charges relating to her husband´s business dealing, through his Noos sports foundation. Iñaki Urdangarin, who has now been axed from the royal list, is facing a lengthy prison sentence if he is found guilty of fraud by a Palma court.
Judge will not reduce Infanta´s 2.6 million bond
