The number of cruise ship passengers coming into Puerto Palma fell by over 16% during the first four months of the year to 240,876; there was also a fall, obviously enough, in the number of ships - down by 108.
In April alone, there were 131,000 passengers on 73 ships: three fewer.
In the whole of Spain there was an increase of more than 4%. Over two million passengers arrived at Spanish ports in the first four months, well over 800,000 of them having been in April, a figure which represented a rise of nearly 17%.
Nevertheless, the number of ships themselves was down by 37 to 998 in total. In April there were 438 ships - a reduction of almost 4%.
The port with the highest number of passenger arrivals was Las Palmas in Gran Canaria.
Here, there was a rise of over 12% during the first four months to 616,526 passengers.
Barcelona was in second position with over 440,000 passengers, which represented a fractional increase, though the number of ships was down getting on for 10% to 148.
