The national meteorological office, Aemet, has issued a yellow alert for high temperatures. According to Aemet, these could reach 36 degrees in Majorca's interior tomorrow. The advice has been issued from 12 midday to seven tomorrow evening, and it comes after a prolonged period - going back to the second half of June - during which daytime highs have rarely dropped below 30 degrees and the met office has been forced to issue numerous yellow or amber alerts for high temperatures.
