On Monday evening, nearly ten days after he went missing on 22 August, Giovanni or Gio, as he is more commonly known, was found safe and sound in Calvia.

His distraught owners, not least their heartbroken six-year-old daughter, placed a series of advertisements in the local media, including the Bulletin, alerting the general public to the fact Gio was missing and that a 3,000 euro reward was being offered for anyone with any helpful information.

However, on Monday evening, Gio was spotted on a rural estate and the Jack Russell was returned to his rightful owners.

The one year-old-pet, according to his owner Eva Roses, “is a very handsome dog, very intelligent and well educated.
