The Council of Majorca's councillor for land and infrastructure, Mercedes Garrido, has promised to act in improving safety, especially for cyclists, along the road that links Sa Pobla and Alcudia and which passes by the Albufera nature park.

The councillor met this morning with members of the Sa Pobla town hall ruling group, who included mayor Biel Ferragut.

The road by Albufera, which twists in parts and has some blind spots caused by the abundance of reeds, is one of the old "carreteras", not that wide and, as a consequence, a potential risk.
