Artisan craft market week in Palma

Artisan markets in Palma will be holding the second Artisan Week from Monday, 5 October to Saturday, 10 October.
From 10am until 4pm each day these markets will be in s’Hort del Rei, the Paseo Sagrera and the Plaça Major, and they will provide ample opportunities to see local craft work.

Antònia Martín, the councillor for consumer affairs at the town hall, says that this is “a great initiative to help to create employment and improve current jobs in the city’s markets.”

The initiative is one with the full backing of the associations for artisans and businesses.
The Artisan Week will serve to add value to and to make better known the craft work being produced. It was held last year in the s’Hort del Rei market where it was very well received; hence the decision to develop the week by having three markets.
