Restaurant and shop owners in Son Servera have met with the mayor, Natalia Troy, and the councillor for trade, Francesc Riera, to consider ways of boosting business in the municipality, especially in the off-season. The town hall, therefore, is looking to involve businesses in Cala Bona and Cala Millor as well as in the town itself in working up ideas to promote commercial and gastronomic attractions.

Bringing in a new tourist tax will ensure that more people than ever will go all-inclusive,thus leading to more bar, shop, cafe and restaurant closures and higher unemployment.
