The JoyRon Foundation and all its volunteers have again been hard at work in organising a wonderful celebration of the magic of Christmas. All in aid of the good cause of the Foundation.

A must event for all those who enjoy the spirit of Christmas, on Friday, 11 December, at The Boat House on Palma’s Paseo Maritimo (opposite the Auditorium), all will be able to visit the boutique Christmas market and have the chance to indulge in some Christmas shopping with over 50 market stalls offering Christmas treats, decorations and gift ideas. If you want something different for Christmas then do come along. The market opens at 6pm.

To add to the spirit of Christmas there will be all the traditional carols to enjoy with a Candlelight carol service. A superb location with the lights of the harbour, providing a magical backdrop to the candlelit carol service, led by a local children’s choir which will commence at 7:30pm with many well-known christmas carols in English, Spanish and German.

For those wanting something to eat during the evening there will be a BBQ and of course Christmas would not be the same without the mince pies and of course plenty of mulled wine. The event will also feature live music and a Pouf Daddy kids cinema showing Christmas films throughout the evening.

The master of ceremonies will also for one night only be the well-known and delightful Frank Leavers from Radio One Mallorca  and Majorca Daily Bulletin who promises to keep everyone entertained as he introduces some of our favourite local musical talents. Frank will also be introducing the children to Santa and his reindeer who have also accepted an invitation to be there. It promises to be a fun evening with much to see and enjoy thanks to all the support of volunteers and those partners supporting the JoyRon Foundation. With all proceeds from the carols by candlelight and the boutique market going to the JoyRon Foundation, it will certainly bring levels of joy, comfort and essential support to children in need in the Baleares at this special time of the year.

Entrance to the market is free and tickets for the carol service are just five euros (available at the gate), children under-12 go free, and there is also a special family ticket for two adults and up to two children (ages 12-16) for 15 euros. Carol service tickets will include a carol sheet with lyrics, a candle (with drip tray to avoid burnt fingers!) and a complimentary glass of mulled wine.
