Princess Cristina appeared in court today (Monday) on charges of tax fraud, the first member of the royal family to stand in the dock, as a lengthy investigation into her husband’s business affairs finally went to trial. King Felipe’s 50-year-old sister is one of 18 people on trial after a six-year investigation into the Nóos Institute, a non-profit organisation run by her husband, Iñaki Urdangarin, that prosecutors say was used to embezzle millions of euros in public funds.

The reason the princess and Iñaki are sitting apart is because the have to sit in the order they will be called to testify. Diego Torres isn't sitting beside his wife and his wife isn't sitting beside her brother.
The fact that Cristina sat apart from her husband in court speaks volumes, clearly she is distancing herself from him, could a separation or a divorce be on the cards.?
