Following the fire in the Albufera Nature Park on Wednesday that claimed some 36 hectares of reed and grass, there was another, much smaller fire yesterday. The alarm was raised shortly before midday, and fire crews, agents from the Balearic Nature Institute and police attended the scene. The fire was brought under control by 1.30pm and fully extinguished an hour or so later. Roughly one hectare of reed was affected, the fire on what is very dry land having been whipped up by wind.
