Woman arrested for having a marijuana plantation
The National Police reported on Saturday that they had discovered a marijuana plantation in the Palma neighbourhood of Vivero.
The members of the National Police narcotics department began their investigation after receiving a series of complaints from local neighbours about the suspicious behaviour of the owner of the property on which the plantation was found. Most of the complaints were about machinery being used overnight: the equipment having been used to propagate the marijuana plantation. A young Spanish woman has been arrested. She faces public health crimes plus a charge for illegally linking her property up to the electricity network.
