The rider of a motorbike from which a 19-year-old youth fell and was killed on Sunday morning was 17 years old and almost three times over the permitted alcohol limit. It has been suggested that he didn't have a licence, but the Guardia Civil have not confirmed this.

On Sunday night, I was travelling from Palma to Cala Millor along the MA15, and the way motorcyclists were going along there, it would be no wonder if sooner or later someone would get killed, especially after dark. Perhaps put unmarked police on the roads, and for reckless riding, take their licences away, plus confiscate the bikes. This hopefully, may slow down this type of driving.
The way motorcycle ' s are ridden on the main roads of Mallorca, is frightening. Especially for sensible car drivers, that are suddenly shocked by a speeding bike, travelling at very high speed. How this madness can be stopped, must be an urgent concern for the Islands residents , and The Guardia.
