The National Police have been stepping up inspections at Majorca's yacht clubs and marinas. Given the context of Level 4 terrorist alert, the police are keeping an eye on recreational boats. More than 16,400 yachts have come to Majorca so far this year.

Because of the alert, frontier controls have been maximised, focusing on people not from Schengen countries. Inspections are therefore being carried out at the 46 marinas, with boats, crew and passengers being checked.

In addition, the National Police have been checking documentation (to ensure it isn't false) and looking out for any evidence of drug or human trafficking.
