More offences are being added to Calvia's bylaw on co-existence, i.e. civic good behaviour. Directed at residents and tourists alike, there are now 109 infringements in all, the headlining ones being "balconing", illegal street/beach selling and drinking alcohol in public areas.

The new ones include spitting and drinking straight from the spouts of water fountains. Both are considered to be minor offences, for which fines of 100 euros will be imposed. Others are for climbing trees, picking flowers from flower beds, playing with balls, skateboarding and similar activities, using soap or other personal hygiene products at beach showers, throwing away dirty water in the vicinity of trees, any type of graffiti, sand sculptures on beaches without authorisation.

These will all attract fines of 100 euros, as will begging, although in this case this will be the limit for minors. Older people or those who are making some benefit claim for disability could face being fined up to 1,500 euros.
