It was a sea of change at the ESRA Central AGM held at Henri’s restaurant in Palma on Wednesday, as members elected and welcomed what was a new team to guide the district to new heights and to continue with the impetus in attracting new members and a full social calendar. The outgoing chairman Michael Booker reported that the district was in excellent financial health, it was increasing its membership and he was delighted to remain on the new committee as a voting member. It had been a challenging last year but all goals were accomplished and all agreed that the new team would bring new ideas, new events and attract new members to the district. The district probably has the youngest committee in ESRA, and they are not all English, as there are Dutch, German and Irish people on the committee. What with this district taking in Palma, out to Llucmajor and Soller, the opportunities of bringing in new members, enjoying events, lunches and more could never have been better.
