A proposal is to be presented to next week's council meeting in Calvia to improve the "aesthetic quality" of various establishments. It is also aimed at stopping or at least minimising displays of alcoholic drinks in the main commercial and tourist areas of the municipality.

Targeting the tax payers rather than the criminal elements again.
ridiculous. there are lots of west African prostitutes, drug dealers and muggers to deal with the authorities target bottles of booze.
Going for the easy targets again! The people that pay their taxes and are legally in the country!
All in the name of appearing to go up market ,but the same problems will still exist after dark.
The Palma Nova shop display in the open I find attractive and ibteresting to browse. It's a colourful addition to the street. I see no evidence of it promoting drunken activity in that area but I do see evidence of tourists and locals buying drink to take home. Attractive and NOT a problem.
Will the aesthetic prostitutes/mugging gangs and lookie-lookie men be affected. I doubt it!!
