The first day of the tourism season and the start of the official fire-prevention campaign, and there was a fire yesterday evening on the Sant Martí mountain in Alcudia. Sant Martí is one side of the bypass road in Alcudia, with the Bellevue complex opposite. The fire was tackled by water-bombing helicopters and there were fire crews on the ground.

The Ibanat agency reported that the fire was confirmed at 19.00. It was classified as Level 0 risk, meaning that there was no danger to property (or life). One trusted that the mountain goats were safe though. The fire was extinguished by nightfall.

How does such a fire start in such a place? Any guesses?
