Ryanair confirm Air Europa long-haul alliance

The chief executive of Globalia (Air Europa's parent company), Javier Hidalgo, and Michael O'Leary of Ryanair expressed their satisfaction at having formed the alliance. Bookings can already be made as a result of it, and flights are to nineteen airports on the American continent and to Tel Aviv. Destinations include New York, Boston, Miami, Caracas, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Lima, Montevideo and Buenos Aires.

Air Europa will make available tickets to twenty routes in sixteen countries. By the end of the year, it is expected that the two airlines will be sharing connecting flights. For Air Europa, the alliance puts pressure on Iberia routes to Latin America, while for Ryanair it is its first agreement to feed long-haul flights.
