The latest tourist resort bus service from the airport came into operation on Thursday. This was the one for Cala Millor and Cala Bona, stopping also in Manacor, Porto Cristo, S'Illot and Sa Coma. There are stops in Montuiri and Vilafranca as well, but it seems you have to request these the day before.

There weren't many takers. Tourists arriving at the airport had little information to advise them, though when they were told about the service there was some interest. Those who reached their destinations on the first bus to make the journey were apparently satisfied with the service.

Although the number of users wasn't great, the government was saying again that it is confident that over the whole tourism season it will meet expectations.
