German boy critical after lamp falls on him in Palma

The incident occurred in Palma's calle Sant Miquel. The lamp outside number 17 in the street crashed on to the child's head. He began to bleed heavily. Local police and the National Police forensics unit are inspecting the property in order to ascertain how the lamp came to be detached. The National Police have meanwhile filed a court report.

The boy is said to be in a critical condition. He and his parents are understood to be tourists.
