Its statement continues: "The situation is unsustainable and we therefore call on all administrations that are involved to urgently intervene in order to maintain public order and guarantee the conservation of protected natural habitats."
According to Més, the summer season has only just begun and Cala Agulla has already been turned into "an open-air disco with music at full blast, high consumption of alcohol and totally unruly behaviour". The beach is full of glass (bottles and glasses) and large music systems. The dunes system has become a place for people and for excrement. There is massive misuse of a protected natural space and there are numerous infringements of environmental, safety and public order regulations.
No public body, say Més, has done anything about environmental monitoring or control of access to natural areas. The situation, the party believes, has got worse because Capdepera town hall has no control of public order and safety.
