The National Police reported that Mr. Cox, who became lost from his friends on landing at the airport, decided to continue with his holiday and checked into another hotel alone.
Police spotted the Briton as he was checking in for his flight home this morning. They informed Mr. Cox that a search had been mounted after he had been reported missing. They then questioned the 87-year-old, who explained exactly what he had been doing since 1 June and assured the officers that he was fit and healthy and had thoroughly enjoyed his holiday on the island.
His friends and family were said to have been extremely relieved that Mr. Cox had been found and was in a healthy condition.

And other news... its been reported that a cat is stuck up a tree in Manacor, the National Police have been called.
He clearly knew exactly what he was doing except in his choice of ''friends'' who don't seem to have made much of an effort to find him, continue to enjoy your life and holidays but get some new friends who do care about you,Raymond.
Goodness me - he had more sense than the idiots with whom he travelled and clearly still has all his marbles because he simply carried on without them and had a fulfilling holiday. Well done him!
I am so pleased that he was found safe and well. But a shame that police resourses had to be used to find him. Why didn´t his "friends" ask for a tannoy call at the airport ? At 87, I would have hoped his friends would look after him better. Don´t go away with them again Raymond ! But please come back to Mallorca with more caring friends.
