One of the world’s largest and most luxurious private yachts moored up in Palma yesterday.

The yacht Katara is one of the world’s largest yachts. It was built by Lurssen and was delivered to her owner, the Emir of Qatar, in 2010. It was designed by Espen Oeino with an interior design by Alberto Pinto. Not much is known about the interior, but the main deck saloon has a height of two decks. The yacht has a length of 124 metres, making it the 14th largest yacht in the world, although measured by volume, it would rank much higher. It has gross tonnage of 7922t and can reach a max speed of 20 knots.

It has a lift, a helicopter landing pad, a beach club, a tender garage, a swimming platform, underwater lights, a gym, spa, jacuzzi (on deck) and a swimming pool plus a host of other gadgets and toys for guests to enjoy.
