Paraglider dies after crashing into Alcudia hill

The accident occurred at around 5pm. He was returning from Andratx on a distance flight between Andratx and Alcudia that he had undertaken many times. Fire crews, medics and the Guardia Civil's mountain rescue team all went to the scene. An attempt was made to revive him, but he had suffered cardiorespiratory arrest as well as severe multiple trauma and died at the scene.

The cause of the crash is as yet unknown.
