The Guardia Civil's organised crime squad and the criminal police based in Algaida this morning (Thursday) raided twelve properties in another major operation against drug dealers in Magalluf. The operation, which included raids in Palma as well, was backed up by the Guardia's GRS special security squad and was centred on Punta Ballena.

More than a dozen arrests were made. During the operation two kilos of cocaine were found stashed inside a vehicle in a garage at one property.

The operation was a further phase in Operation Dajú, which started last summer and resulted in the arrests of British and Spanish citizens who had been using "tiqueteros" from Punta Ballena to sell drugs.
