A public transport bus on the route between Campos and Colonia Sant Jordi caught fire this afternoon (Sunday) at around twenty minutes to two. The driver and passengers were all able to get off the bus safely. The bus was more or less totally burnt out.

Although there has yet to be confirmation, the assumption is that there was an engine fault and that the fire started in the engine.

This is the eighth bus or coach to catch fire on Majorcan roads in the past two years.
