The building in the calle Aragon.

A 22-year-old British man died this morning (Sunday) when he fell from the balcony of a fifth-floor apartment in a building on the calle Aragon in Palma.

Emergency services were called at ten past six by a passer-by who saw the unconscious man on the pavement. The medical team was unable to do anything for him and he was declared dead at the scene.

There will be an autopsy in the morning, but the National Police have stated that the man had been drinking and that they believe he fell accidentally. Four British friends at the apartment apparently only became aware of what had happened when police went to the apartment.

It is a recurring problem ,from inebriated young people. But, I have never been sure of the balcony railings on many apartments.
