The location is again Andratx, and it is apparently groups of cyclists - German and Dutch, it is said, bused in from the north of the island - who are once more responsible. The excursion organiser takes the cyclists to the centre of Andratx. After they return from their cycling route (or indeed before they return), they need to go to the toilet. Instead of using facilities in bars, the cyclists opt for outside alternatives, such as pavements and even a square next to a children's playground. Responses to this behaviour include shouts of "pigs" and "go back and piss in your own country".
For some years, Andratx police have had to calm things down, as it has been known for residents to come to blows with cyclists. The town hall has in the past installed temporary toilets, but not this year.
Residents have been taking photos of the cyclists and posting them on social media in an attempt to shame the town hall into action and to no doubt also shame the cyclists.

The roundabout at the foot of the road to Formentor. Every day they are lined up, men and women relieving themselves. don't even try to hide, often not even dismounting. And what is it with the rubbish........lunch remains, plastic bottles and those bloody energy gels. I can tell the season by the rubbish......... Why come to this beautiful island only to transform it into something that resembles their Northern European home, you are all a disgrace to humanity.
I think cyclist should be banned from using certain roads. 4 times a day I do a certain route to take my children to and from school and at this time of year I get stuck behind cyclist. I have to drive up a steep rounded mountain to get in and out of my area and have witnessed cars rolling back, hitting each other, knocking into the sides of barriers, stalling their cars and not being able to go around them due to the blind spots up the whole maintain, and all due to having to drive in second gear behind these people. It's a pain in the ass. They should not be allowed on certain routes. It's stupid and dangours. They struggle to get up them. I've seen groups having to stop for there pals because they don't have the strength to get up the steep hill. Seriously something needs to be done.
This is in Port Andratx, 100 metres from a bar in one direction, and the yacht club not much further in the other. It is where a few of the organised coach trips drop off their customers. I can't believe that the Policia Local don't have a quiet word with the tour groups and ask them to make an arrangement with the bar/yacht club...and perhaps a friendly warning that next time they get fined. It's always the same hedge. No wonder the owner is getting....excuse the pun,....p****d off.
Although I appreciate it's not nice for the locals to watch or smell the result of urination, surely with the money that the tourist bring in, particularly with the tourist tax, the island's councils could provide some sort of public toilet facilities (or at least more, because i know in some places they do exist)If you've got no where else to go, then this will always be the result.
Watched a small child urinate on the corner of a street in Alcudia on a market day. Mum didn't seem too perplexed but if there are no public loos and bars discourage free use then what do you expect when the place is rammed? As for dog poo. Has anyone ever been fined the 600E for not clearing it up?
Cyclists all over the world think they are above the law. About time they were stamped on. I’ll give my right foot voluntarily.
If they did it elsewhere it's an instant fine, why don't the police enforce that instead of calming down the angry residents. Disgusting!
Perhaps put free service loos on major routes and mountain roads for all to use. So long as people do not abuse these facilities, it could be a welcome thing for cyclists and car trips as well. As bikes do not pay any road tax, perhaps put a small service charge for road use. Ok it will not go down too well for cyclists, but could well go down well for other users, as motorists pay local road taxes. The tax could be used to put and maintain the service loos on the island.
Cyclists think they above the law not only in Mallorca ....Belgium is a cyclist country horrible each Sunday over and over . Stop talking about, you know they are there, that they will continue doing it So put enough police even incognito and fine 250 € to pay on site We call them cycling-terrorist instead of tourists
Their groups should pay for a Loo! Note they are not English!
