It would seem that Majorca's main roads are already congested even though it is only April. The Council of Majorca's land and infrastructure councillor, Mercedes Garrido, says that there aren't as yet any verifiable figures for traffic volume but she believes that they have increased.

It's definitely the worst I've known it BUT it's mainly due to known 'pinch-points' eg. coming down the motorway from the north and wanting to head west in the Andraitx direction - that needs another exit lane added, the Via Cintura heading South-east at the Manacor junction (needs another exit lane and a re-working of the roundabout above, PLUS the several places where exits and entrances for big shopping centres are totally inadequate.
Rail network the only answer.
