The World’s largest sail cruise ship, the Wind Surf, was one of five cruise ships carrying a total of 12,000 passengers in Palma yesterday.

The liners included the Aida Stella, the Jewel of the Seas, Celebrity Constellation and Costa Victoria.

Most of the cruises had either come from or were heading to Ibiza as their next port of call and their presence in Palma created a great deal of activity, especially for cabbies and excursion agencies.

According to the Port Authority, the vast majority of passengers disembarked and either headed into the centre of Palma or out on a prebooked trip around the island.

The most eye catching was the Wind Surf which has a capacity for just 350 passengers in total luxury.
