Irish teenager critical after Santa Ponsa balcony fall

A young Irish tourist is in a serious condition in hospital after falling from a hotel balcony in Santa Ponsa. The 19-year-old plunged from the second floor of the Deya Apartments shortly before 6am on Tuesday morning.

Witnesses quickly notified the emergency services and paramedics rushed to the scene. He was found to have suffered significant injuries to his hip and spine and was immediately transferred to Son Espases Hospital.

The Guardia Civil have launched an investigation into this latest incident.
