Injured man rescued after fours days at home after fall

They were alerted by the man’s wife who had called 091 because she was travelling and hadn’t heard from him for a few days.

When police arrived at the scene there was no answer at the door and on entering the house they found the man lying at the bottom of the stairs, unable to move and with blood seeping from his head.

An ambulance was called and the man was taken to Son Espases Hospital for treatment.
