The Spanish government intends introducing an air transport tax and a tax on single-use plastic for food products. The Hacienda, i.e. the finance ministry, has published details of the proposed taxes on its website (www.hacienda.gob.es). Submissions can be made over the next fourteen days.

This decision, added to the Tourist Tax, plainly says to all holidaymakers "We don't need you. Go elsewhere." Which peoole will do. For an usland getting 70% of its income directly or indirectly from tourism, this is a deeply crass decision.
So, will this mean that we won’t be herded on and off planes and shipped on buses to and fromTerminal like cattle?? Maybe if they stopped using their polluting buses and actually used the Terminal properly the Carbon footprint would be lower! Another excuse to hike the prices Yet again - Tourists are getting the message and starting to look elsewhere inthe EU and surprisingly it’s cheaper
Oh, Dear. More Taxation. Taxation in the UK . Flight Passenger Duty. Tourist Tax. IVA. etc etc. I do not think that all this taxation is going to be good for Mallorca.
Back to sailing ships and donkeys.
