The Majorca Hoteliers Federation and the Association of Hotel Chains have issued a statement in which they say that the reopening of hotels under the Spanish government's de-escalation plan is not feasible. In order to be feasible, air connectivity, protocols endorsed by health authorities, the extension of ERTEs, and specific financial support measures are all needed.

Many hotels will make their ERTE staff redundant and shut up completely for this year. Some already have made that decision I understand. There’s going to be a lot of much poorer people here over the winter and for next year and beyond. Where are the anti-tourist brigade now, can they stump up some cash to help? No? Thought not.
Totally agree, closed dining rooms, closed bars and closed pools. Now call me an idiot, but doesn't that make the hotel a glorified prison? 🤷♂️ Just no point in opening.
